Margaret "Peg" Mary Price At the age of 55, a beautiful, devoted, kindly soul has left to go to her permanent home. Margaret (Peg) Mary Price, of Merrill, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 peacefully in her sleep in the arms of her dear husband. Her last 12 years were spent in a continual battle with cancer, but living in the life she wanted. She leaves behind her devoted, loving husband Bradd of Merrill, canine family of Gabe, Sunny and Twink, mother Grace Borham of Stevens Point, sisters Bonnie (Bruce) Cordy of Green Bay, Carol (Kurt) Grasamkee of Plover, Mimi Johnson and Barb Przybylski both of Stevens Point, brothers Paul of Houston, TX, Don (Vicki) of Tuscon, AZ, Jim (Marcia Piazza) of Newark, OH, sisters-in-law Patti (Hoyt) Chitwood of La Quinta, CA, Sue Borham of Houston, TX and a brother-in-law Paul (Pamela) Price of Rio. Peg was preceded in death by her father Paul Borham and her brother Bob Borham. Peggy was born March 8, 1956 in Stevens Point to Paul and Grace Borham. She graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School in 1974 and also attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Prior to marriage Peg worked for Sentry Insurance. After marriage, she worked nearly 30 years in various Marathon County government offices including the Clerk of Courts, Secretary to Judge Ann Walsh Bradley, the Parks Department, the Central Wisconsin Airport manager's office and most recently the office of the District Attorney. Her varied interests included hiking, cross-country skiing, yoga, reading, cooking (especially trying new dishes), and driving vacations with her husband. The northern Wisconsin area of Ashland, Bayfield and the Apostle Islands was a cherished favorite destination. But by far her greatest joy was gardening. Her 350 plant Day Lily bed was special to her. She most recently helped her husband in re-doing and replanting six landscape beds. A memorial Service for Peg will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Merrill. The Rev. Maurice Schaus will officiate. Friends may call from 9:00 AM until the hour of services Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Church. Peg's husband and family want to extend many thanks to the Aspirus Cancer Center staff, especially to Dr. Rezazadeh for his compassionate, steadfast care and who admired Peg for her concise assessment of her condition changes and for being well prepared with notes and questions at each appointment. Thanks also go out to Val, Renee, Ann and many others who assisted in her care. The family will be giving any memorials received to the 2012 Relay for Life of Merrill, an American Cancer Society fundraising event and to H.A.V.E.N., a Merrill women's shelter in, Peg's name. The Waid Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements. Online tributes may be made at www.waidfuneral.com .
