Marian T. Prange, 93, of Merrill, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Marian was born November 16, 1918 to the late Joseph and Annie (Secord) Trembley. She married Herbert Prange on April 9, 1950 in Waukegan, Illinois. . Marian was a volunteer naturalist at the Council Grounds State Park for several years. She was named Naturalist of the Year in 1984. Marian worked as a nurse at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, Illinois and did home health care for ten years. She enjoyed the outdoors, caring for wildlife and gardening. She was an artist and especially enjoyed doing sketches. She also loved to travel. Marian was a member of Bible Presbyterian Church in Merrill and was a member of Bethany Guild at the church. Marian is survived by her son, Richard (Jeanette) Prange of Merrill; her daughter, Shari Lynn (Michael) Prange-Brown of Bonnydoon, California; Grandchildren, Jill (Brian) Rasmussen, Stacey (Troy) Jahns, Michael Prange, Anthony (Jennie ) Brown and Alisa (Steve ) Coates; Great Grandchildren, Hilary, Hannah, Noah and Ian Rasmussen, Kegan, Kellen and Quinn Jahns, Rachel and Tristan Prange, Desmond Brown and Riley Coates;Brother, Andrew Joseph (Phyllis) Trembley; Sisters, May Seessengood, Ellen (Blanchard) Weaver and Nellie Shidler; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert; and her son, Eugene Prange. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Bible Presbyterian Church in Merrill. The Rev. Robert Smallman will officiate.
