Mark C. Stanberry MD, age 69, of Ivoryton passed away on 07.29.12 after a valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Candy; two children, Kirsten and Matt; and brother Alan. A beloved psychiatrist, devoted husband/father, and man of many interests/talents; words alone cannot capture his kind, compassionate, and wise nature. Born in WA, he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Univ of AZ before attending Harvard Medical School. After serving as a psychiatrist for the Navy, New London Child and Family, and Niantic Women's Prison, he began a 35-year private practice dedicated to the well being of his patients.

Old Lyme Congregational Church, for which Dr. Stanberry was a Pastoral Counselor, will host a Memorial Service and reception at 11:00am on 08.04.12. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Middlesex Hospice (860-358-6955) or the American Cancer Society (800-227-2345). Arrangements by the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook.
