Marsha A. (Randol) VanHook, 61, of Decatur, IL passed away on Wednesday (Oct. 17, 2012) at home with her daughter by her side.
Graveside services to celebrate Marsha's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday (Oct. 22, 2012) at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marsha was born on September 26, 1951 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Roger and Marie (Jonas) Randol. She worked at PPG Industries for 26 years and then was later employed by Whelan Security at ADM. Marsha enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her animals. She loved taking long walks in the woods with her dogs, relaxing in her back yard with her cats and attending sporting events with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter: Tanna Marie Hammel of Decatur, IL; brothers and sisters: Elaine Robertson, Clayton Randol, Roger "Bugs" Randol and Brenda "Lou" Waldrop all of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Alexandra and Colten Hammel of Decatur, IL; best friend: Rue; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Decatur and Macon County Humane Society (especially Eileen), Dr. Benjamin Esparaz, Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois and DMH Hospice.
