FORT WORTH -- Mary Ellen Bryson Pfirman, 80, a retired contact desk representative for the Department of Labor, left to join her husband, Tom, in the glorious kingdom of our Lord on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Mass: 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller. Rosary: 7 p.m. Thursday in Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Chapel.
Mary Pfirman was born March 7, 1930, in Chicago, Ill. She moved to Texas in 1951. She met her husband of 45 years in San Antonio the following year. She used to raise and show collies and Lhasa Apsos until she retired. She later became active in several dog rescues. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She enjoyed her animals and going to the casinos, and used to be a blackjack dealer for party groups. She loved her Texas Rangers and the Green Bay Packers. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom.
Her family wishes to express appreciation to Solaris Hospice for the wonderful care they provided our mother.
Survivors: Children, Margaret C. Pfirman and Thomas C. Pfirman of Fort Worth, Sarah Ellen Pfirman Jordan of New Fairview; grandchildren, Jerry A. McLamore, Hunter L. McLamore, Eugene T. McLamore, Shawnee Jordan and Cheyenne Jordan; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Jane Clark of Kenosha, Wis.
