Mary H. Eye, 87, Merrill, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. In the loving care of her daughter and son-in-law Beth and Scott Pergolski, she fought cancer for a year before the Lord called her home. She was born November 19, 1923 in Marseilles, IL to the late George and Mary (Berutti) Mason. She married Archie Eye in Marseilles on October 25, 1946. He preceded her in death October 9, 1996. Mary was a home maker and spent many years lovingly caring for her family. She and Archie owned and operated Archie's Westend Service Station. Over the years, Mary had worked at Pine Crest and finally at IGA until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary looked forward to going to Illinois every chance she got to visit family and friends. Most days she could be found with her buddy Joyce at Wal-Mart visiting friends. Mary was an avid Packer Fan. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include her children; Dennis (Loretta) Eye , Sherry (Jack) Kleinschmidt, Beth (Scott) Pergolski, and Jody (Jeff) Lokemoen, all of Merrill; six grandchildren; Angela (Buzz) Pophal, Tracie (Ken) Knab, Karli (Jess) Severt, Kory (AhnNa) Kleinschmidt, Jason Lokemoen and Megan Lokemoen; 10 great-grandchildren; brother; George (JoAnn) Mason, Ottawa, IL; and sister;Elsie Caldwell, Ottawa, IL. Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. The Rev. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Waid Funeral Home and again from 10-11 before the service at the church. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests donations be given to Trinity Lutheran School or their charity of choice. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
