Michael D. Koehler, 57, of St. Joseph died Friday morning from an injury received in a car accident.

Friends may call from 1:00 - 2:30 Tuesday at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Mike was born on November 28, 1950 in Benton Harbor to Robert and Elaine (Selent) Koehler. He enjoyed being outside, hunting, cars and shooting pool.

He is survived by two sons Craig Koehler and Keith Koehler both of St. Joseph; his mother Elaine Koehler of St. Joseph; three sisters Cindy (Steven) Brink of St. Joseph, Sheri Falcone (Lance Jefferies) of Benton Harbor, Patty Monte (Kevin Birdsall) of Benton Harbor; nephew Jason Koehler and niece Angie Wright; 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew.

Preceded in death by his father Robert in 1991 and brother-in-law Del Monte in 2000.
