Mrs. Nannie Wetherington Humphrey, 95, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012. Nannie was born February 16, 1917, to Letha Moore Wetherington and Noah Wetherington. She was a retired medical office assistant, and a loving mother and grandmother. Nannie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 53 years, Jay Lee Humphrey, Jr., and her son, Jay Lee Humphrey, III.

A memorial service for Nannie will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Inurnment will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.Nannie is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Bernardo, and husband Bob, of Marco Island, FL; daughter-in-law, Joanne H. Crawley, of Jefferson, NC; her sons, William C. Humphrey, and wife Sherry, of Raleigh, NC; R. Allen Humphrey, and wife Ava, of the Clarks Community; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
