Norman Fisher of Brewster, NY passed away on Saturday July 28th, 2012. He was 69.
Norm graduated from Brewster High School in 1961. He served in the Army National Guard from 1964 through 1970. An avid racing enthusiast he competed in the SCCA and IMSA from '69 through '77 and was the 1974 NY Region A Sedan Champion.
Norm, along with his brothers and parents, owned and operated Fisher Brothers Chevrolet in Mahopac, where he was the Service Manager.
He is survived by his wife Susan, his daughter Alexandria and son Jared and his brothers Ted and Drew.
In keeping with his wishes, following a private cremation, a celebration of Norm's life will take place on Wednesday August 1st from 4-8pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, 692 US Route 6, Mahopac, NY.
Because of his love of auto racing and affinity for Lime Rock Park, in lieu of flowers, family and friends are making donations in his memory to the "55 Trees Program"; a tree will be planted in the park and a plaque placed there in his memory.
