Oliver David Jones, 91, of Ocala, passed away January 20, 2011 at his home. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas he recently moved to this area with his wife, Marie from Germany. Mr. Jones was retired from the US Army and served in both WWII and Korea. He attended Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala. Mr. Jones loved music and tinkering especially with electronics and cars. He is survived by his wife, Marie L. Jones; children, Oliver and Mickey Jones, both of Richmond, VA, David and Beatrice Jones both of Mainz, Germany, Alvin Jones of Wiesbaden, Germany, Beatrice “Trixie” Delk (James) of Ocala, Heiko Jones of Ocala and Marvin Jones (Wiebke) of Kaiserslautern, Germany. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Davis. Visitation will be held at ROBERTS FUNERAL HOMES, Bruce Chapel East (2739 SE Maricamp Rd. Ocala 352-732-9944) on Tuesday (Jan. 25th) from 10-11:30AM. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 11:30. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
