Paul Everett Dingler, 72, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at White Oak Manor. Born February 23, 1940, in Lenoir, NC, he was the son of the late Loy Everett and Gladys Luna Campbell Dingler.
A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Dingler was the owner of Paul's Plumbing. He was a master plumber, a former Plumbing Board member for the City of Spartanburg, former treasurer of the horticulture group overseeing Converse and Hampton Heights, and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his daughters, Susan D. Osteen and husband Todd of Duncan, and Cynthia A. Forsythe and husband Robert of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Mallory Tomes of Campobello, Ashlyn Knight of Greenville, Jennifer and Leslie Osteen of Duncan, Robert Forsythe III, Jamie Forsythe, and James Paul "J. P." Forsythe, all of Spartanburg; great-grandson, Rylan Jackson; sister, Pamela Hegler of Simpsonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, David, Larry, and Jimmy Dingler; and a great-grandson, Cade Jackson.
Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, August 17, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Andy Case. Burial with military rites by American Legion Post #28 Honors Guard will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Research Center, Emory University, 1440 Clifton Road NE, Suite 170, Atlanta, GA 30322.
The family is at the home of Susan & Todd Osteen, 545 Drayton Hall Blvd., Duncan, SC 29334.
