Paul E. Packard, 57, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He was born on December 2, 1953 in Mason City, IA to Calvin & Carol Holverson Packard. He graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1973 and married Toni K. Power on November 1, 1975 in Fort Madison, IA. He worked as a maintenance mechanic at First Miss, the Sheaffer Pen Company and lastly at Box USA. He was of the Methodist Faith and loved motorcycles and most of all, his grandchildren.
Paul is survived by: his wife: Toni Packard of Fort Madison, IA; 2-daughters: Devon (Patrick) Tisor of Burlington, IA & Callie (Josh) Ramsey of Anchorage, AK; 6-grandchildren: Kelsey, Kerrigan & Kaden, Brantley, Fox & Journee; His Mother: Carol Packard of Fort Madison, IA; 1-brother: Brent (Cathy) Packard of Fort Madison, IA and 1-sister: Faith (Bill) Smith of Niota, IL. He was preceded in death by: his father & 1-grandson: Jordan Ramsey.
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 with the family to receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening immediately following the visitation at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Dan Dingus officiating. Cremation will follow the service and a private family burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Paul’s name.
