Richard J. Brodhead passed away on July 26, 2012. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012. The church service, with Military Honors, is 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany (1500 Hickory Ridge Rd, Lebanon TN). The family extends a special thank you to Odyssey Hospice and Home Instead. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.
Mr. Brodhead, a native of Key West FL, received his Associates Degree at Cumberland University, his Bachelors at MTSU, and his law degree at Vanderbilt. Mr. Brodhead was a veteran of the United States Navy, a former Lebanon City Attorney, and a former Lebanon City Judge. He was a member of the Bar Association, served on the Board of Law Examiners, a board member of the Wilson County Help Center, he was a Shriner, and a thirty-second degree Mason. He was a member and past Senior Warden of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.
Survivors include wife of 24 years Judy Nollner Brodhead; children: Tara (Mark) Morton and Jeremy (Misti) Creswell; and grandchildren: Dalton Odgon, Olivia Morton, Abby Morton, Samantha Payne, Trent Payne, and Kevin Creswell. He is preceded in death by parents George J. and Imogene Sharrar Brodhead.
