Richard Ross Trucks, 72, passed away September 28, 2012 in Corning, Iowa. Richard was born on September 2, 1940 in Carroll, Iowa to Hazel Kathleen Rhodes and Gurney Trucks. On January 14, 1968 Richard married Patricia Ann Davis of Grinnell, Iowa. They began farming near Searsboro, Iowa in 1970, then bought their current farm west of Lenox in 1974.

Richard is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Craig (Donna), Heidi (David) Ames and Galen (Trudy); and grandchildren, Halley, Grant, Devon and Beatrice; sister, Mary Jane Alborn.

He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Beth Ellen, Shirley and Marilyn.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at Corning hospital for the compassionate care given to Richard over the last week of his life.
