Robert "Dan" Bradley, who retired from the CIA in 2000 as a Technical Operations Officer with the Office of Technical Services, Special Activities Division, died of a heart attack August 11 at his vacation home in Colonial Beach, Va. He was 68.

Mr. Bradley joined the CIA in 1963 as a courier before moving into technical operations. He spent more than 35 years with the CIA before retiring in 2000. He then rejoined the CIA as a contractor after the 9/11 attacks on our Country. He worked for several contracting companies and as an independent contractor before retiring again in 2009.

Dan Bradley was born and raised in Alexandria, Va. He was a very active member and a current governor of the Old Dominion Boat Club. He was also a member of The Fraternal Order if Eagles Aeries 871 and 4315 of Alexandria and Colonial Beach, Va. Dan also loved classic cars and street rods and was the proud owner of a 1939 Chevy Coupe. He was a member of the Colonial Beach Cruisers and the National Street Rod Association.

Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Sheila Bradley and their son, Scott Bradley their daughter-in-law, Deborah Bradley and one grandson, his little buddy, Tomas. He is also survived by an extended loving family. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Vincent A. and Louise J. Bradley and ten brothers and sisters, William S. Jones, Emma Schuyler, Florence Bradley, B. Topping Bradley, Vincent A. Bradley, Delaney Bradley, Judy White, Cleatte Bradley, James Bradley and Mildred Davis
