Robert W. Bonham, of Baytown, TX, passed away May 9th, 2012, at a Baytown hospital. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX, July 2, 1924, to Frank Sr. and Gladys Bonham.

Preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Bobbie; their daughter, Dorcas Francis; and his brother, Frank Bonham, Jr.; he is survived by his granddaughter, Nikki Francis, of Baytown; his sister, Lehr Sherrill, of Las Vegas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

During WWII he was a lower turret ball gunner in the U.S. Army Air Force, having flown with the 452 Bombing Group in the European Theatre. Upon returning to Corpus Christi, he met his wife of 60+ years and in mid '50s the family moved to Baytown. He retired from Arco Chemical in Channelview and then began his 20+ year volunteer career with both the Baytown Police Department and San Jacinto Hospital Service Corps. He was of the Presbyterian faith and worshiped at Westminster and then at Faith Presbyterian Church.

His family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home, 6123 Garth Road, Baytown, 77521, 281-839-0700.
