Ruth Mary Boyle, 88, Merrill, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill. Born January 28, 1923 in San Diego, California, she was the daughter of Carl and Eva (Robinson) Jennings. She married James A. Boyle in Yuma, Arizona on May 31, 1939. He preceded her in death January 23, 1988. Ruth worked for a Vet service in her early years. She then became a home maker, raising two foster children. Ruth was a member of the Ambulance Corp during World War II. She enjoyed gardening and loved her children and animals, especially "Tug". Survivors include her daughter, Loretta (Dennis) Eye, Merrill; granddaughters, Angela (Stanley) Pophal, Athens, and Tracie (Ken) Knab, Athens; 6 great grandchildren; Madeline Pophal, Robert Pophal, William Pophal, Mason Knab, Riley Knab and Eli Knab; and her brother, Charles Jennings, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Boyle, daughter, Ruth E. Boyle, mother, Eva M. Jennings and father, Carl Jennings. There will be no services.
