Ruth Torres Crespo was born November 24, 1929 and passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 after a long and courgeous struggle. She was the cherished wife of the late Roman Crespo for 40 years. Loving mother of Janice Crespo and Thomas "Tom" Crespo (Kandice). Proud grandmother of Alexander and Christopher Crespo.
Daughter of the late Sidney D. and Ruth Pitts Torres, Sr. Sister of Robert L. Torres (Anita) and the late Sidney D. Torres, Jr. (Lena) and the late Helen Bergeron (R.J.) and the late June Lind (H.J.). Sister-in-law of the late Mertye Torres. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, some by blood, some by friendship, all by love.
Ruth was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish until Hurricane Katrina when she relocated to Slidell, LA. Her heart and soul forever a dedicated, loyal and true loving St. Bernardian of Islenos decent.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
