Sarah Smith Taylor, 64, of 5143 N. Blackstock Rd. passed away Thursday, July 12th, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Taylor was born in the Westview Community of Spartanburg on October 21, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Sudie Faye (Smith) Hall and step-daughter of the late Carl King, Sr. She was the wife of Don Taylor for over fifty years and was a member of Green Point Baptist Church. She did administrative work in dental and doctors offices for years.
She is survived by a son Keith Taylor and his wife Brenda of Spartanburg, a daughter Vicki Reke and her husband Tom of Lexington, SC, three brothers, Rev. Carl King, Jr. and his wife Wanda of Nashville, TN, Joe King and his wife Wanda of Pacolet, SC, Mike King of Texas and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Fairforest Baptist Church at 3:30PM on Sunday, July 15th, 2012 conducted by Rev. Gary Long and Rev. Carl King, Jr. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home.
