Steven M. Lones, age 67, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He was born on December 26, 1944 in Limo, Ohio, the son of Agnes (Hughes) and Wesley Lones. Steven was a long time member of Shawnee Country Club. A couple of Steven's greatest pastimes were playing golf and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Dayna, of the home; sons, John (Stephanie) Lones of Olathe, KS and Wesley Lones of Los Angeles, CA; Steve Lones, Jr of Dallas, TX; daughters, Megan Lones of Overland Park, KS; Kim Waller of Naperville, IL and Betsy Ginter of Mooresville, NC.
A Celebration of Steven's life will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, August 17, 2012 at UMC Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe, Leawood, KS 66224. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Inurnment will be held in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave, KC, MO 64105 or to KC Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd, KC, MO 64145.
