Susan Lee Wilson, "Mimi", 70, of Winter Garden, FL passed away peacefully while surrounded by her sons, on November 6, 2012 after a long battle with several illnesses. She was born March 19, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Lawrence and Mary Taylor Wilson.
Susan graduated from Rocky River High School in Rocky River, OH in 1960 and Hillsdale College in Michigan in 1964. She had an adventurous (and a little nutty) approach to life that endeared her to family and friends. She had a special passion for the beach and gardening, and also later for being actively involved with her grandchildren. She loved rocking out to The Rolling Stones, having Survivor Finale Parties, and getting fired up when her favorites were voted off Dancing With The Stars.
Susan is survived by her 3 sons and spouses, Norman (and Juli) Allmen of Milton, GA, Christopher (and Susan) Allmen of Winter Garden, FL and Matthew Allmen of the planet earth (his mother insisted he was not homeless); 5 grandchildren: Mitchell, Andrew, Dylan, Jake and Taylor; and her brothers Barry Wilson and Lee Wilson of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her sister Jane Wilson.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Scleroderma Foundation (http://www.scleroderma.org)
