Terry Ruth Miller
61 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 2, 1949 to Evelyn and Robert Miller who preceded her in death. From the time was a teenager Terry’s generous heart and strong leadership skills were evident. These qualities led her to careers in teaching in the Indianapolis Public School System and Director of Program Development in corporations that aided others thru the maze of government assistance programs. She graduated from St. Mary High School and Marian University of Indianapolis. Throughout Terry’s life she was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts and Indy sports teams. She was one who could never say no to anyone or any organization that asked for her support, whether it was to fix a meal for a family whose mother had the flu or to walk/hike a 10K to raise money on awareness of a charity or support group. No one was immune to her smile, her laugh or her ability to find joy in life. She will be missed. She is survived by Gloria Teskey; two brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews whom she was always able to fill their hearts with love. In leiu of flowers the family asks that a donation in Terry’s name be given to the Leukemia Society. There will be a memorial service on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St.
