McDERMOTT

Thomas Martin McDermott, Jr., 25, of Cinnaminson, died suddenly July 10, 2011.

He was born December 22, 1985, to Thomas and Veronika McDermott, and was affectionally known as "Tommy" to family and friends.

Tommy was a lifelong Cinnaminson resident. He attended Cinnaminson High School, where he played ice hockey for the Cinnaminson Pirates. He also played in a recreational league for the Pennsauken Thunderbirds. His interests also included art, comic books, playing the guitar, writing poetry and computer programming, all of which he pursued as serious hobbies.
He was a licensed New Jersey real estate agent and was a member of the New Jersey Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Burlington & Camden County Association of Realtors. He was also a member of his local chapter of Toastmasters.
Tommy's sense of humor and mission to live life to the fullest marked everything he did. He was often the life of every social event and had a magnetic personality that made him new friends wherever he went.
He is survived by his mother, Veronika McDermott; grandparents, Janos and Dominika Gal; Uncle and Aunt, Jonel and Ilonka Pod; cousins, Christopher and Marina Pod; cousin Melissa Pod; and many beloved family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas McDermott, Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to Tommy’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, July 13th, from 7 pm – 9 pm at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, NJ, 1200 Route 130 North, and on Thursday, July 14th from 10 am – 11 am at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 2492 Andover Road, Cinnaminson, NJ.
