Tommy was elected to his second term as the Mayor of Centreville, AL in August. Prior to his reelection, Tommy served on the city council for four years and served as Fire Chief for over 30 years. Outside of his dedication to the citizens of Centreville, he was dedicated to his family and church. He has been married to Jo Herring Bamberg for 46 years and they have three children, Thad Bamberg(Rebecca) of Riverbend, AL, Trent Bamberg(Kristie) of Centreville, AL and Misty Holdsambeck(Scott) of Centreville, AL; grandchildren, Mary Ashtyn Bamberg, Reece Bamberg, Lily Bamberg, Eli Holdsambeck and Emma Jo Holdsambeck. He is also survived by his brother, Rod Bamberg(Earlene) of Marion, AL; sisters, Pattie Wallace(Billy) of Brent, AL, Linda Medders(Joe) of Florence, AL and Tish Patton(John) of Hoover, AL; four nieces, three nephews and a host of great nieces, nephews and great great niece. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Bamberg. Tommy was a deacon at Centreville Baptist Church where he taught 5th and 6th graders Sunday School Class of over 30 years. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to be made to the Tommy Bamberg Memorial Park Fund for the City of Centreville @1270 Walnut St. Centreville, AL 35042.
