North Billerica – Victoria R. (Nelson) McGrath, of North Billerica, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She was 47.
Victoria was born in Brighton on November 6, 1964, and was raised in Waltham where she was a 1982 graduate of the local high school. She had also lived in Marlboro and in Randolph before moving to North Billerica. Victoria had worked as a property manager and bookkeeper for Home Properties in Randolph and had a lifelong interest in reading, music and art.
She leaves her children, Shannon E. McGrath of Lincoln, Rhode Island and Meghan J. McGrath of Great Barrington; her father, Ronald E. Nelson of Harwich; her mother and step-father, Alice F. (O'Brien) Carmichael and her husband, Bill, of Sarasota, Florida; her siblings, Edward R. Nelson and his longtime companion, Diane Schoener, of Middleboro and Pamela Sanderson and her husband, Bruce, of Watertown; her step-brother, Jeffrey Carmichael; her longtime companion, Joseph Ferris of N. Billerica and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Victoria was also the step-sister of the late Chris Carmichael.
Family and friends will honor and remember Victoria's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, August 6th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning when her funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
