I have been researching the Harvey Family History and happened to do a search on your dads name knowing that your mom had passed away several years ago and his Tributes page came up. I had no idea he had passed, but will forward it on to other relatives now that I am aware. It seems that over the years extended family

I have been researching the Harvey Family History and happened to do a search on your dads name knowing that your mom had passed away several years ago and his Tributes page came up. I had no idea he had passed, but will forward it on to other relatives now that I am aware. It seems that over the years extended family lose contact. Time just goes so fast.

I remember all the family gatherings so many years ago at the Methodist Church in Hawkins when all of us would gather for those events when the Harvey's got together.

I remember how happy your mom and dad were and how much they enjoyed their family. I remember walking with Sandy to your house in Hawkins with my cousin Bunny Morgan from the church when we wanted something else to do. I think of those old times so often and how much fun they were.

I think the last time I saw your mom and dad was at a family reunion in Barron Wisconsin shortly before your mom passed away, your mom and dad still seemed so happy and they never changed over the years. They enjoyed and loved life!

I hope all the old memories of the good times will sustain you in your loss.

In case you have forgotten who I am as it has been so many years since we were all together there in Hawkins before your family moved to Merrill, your mother and my mother were first cousins both of them grew up in Hawkins. My mother was Violet Taylor (Ruby and Everett Taylor's daughter). Ruby Harvey-Taylor, was your Grandpa Jake's sister, (my grandmother).

It is strange but I have been thinking of you and wondering where you were if you were all still in Merrill then for some reason looked up your dads name and found out he was gone too. I lost my parents in 2004, a day apart so I know that there won't be a day that goes by that you don't think of your mom and dad. Time takes away the hurt but thankfully the memories remain. My best to you in your time of healing.

To all of the Marriers, I also loved to visit Semco on Saturday morning and visit Wayne in his office. He always had such a hearty laugh! I also enjoyed looking at the big maps on his wall. He would show me where all of the trucks were going to and coming from. To this day, I love looking at maps and finding new places all over the world. I guess you could say that he sparked my interest in travel. I send you my sympathy wholeheartedly.

I am so sorry to hear about Wayne's passing. When I first met him, I was so very impressed with this wonderful gentleman, and I will always remember him. And we lose yet another of America's Greatest Generation.

I'll never forget the countless Saturday mornings going down to the Semco office with my Dad so he could pick up a few things and then out of nowhere we would be greeted by a big "Good Morning Kids!" and see a warm friendly smile from Mr. Marrier through the window in the office next door. There were many days when it was cold and snowy and I would get up in the morning to find that Wayne did all of my snowblowing for me. Wayne was so outgoing and loved to go camping and try different things. Who would have thought a man in his early 80's would have bought a moped?--That goes to say a lot about his character. I was fortunate to have purchased the moped when Wayne was sizing down. Each time I ride it, I think of him. What a great person and neighbor he was. He also helped with procuring windows for various projects. He was such and interesting and well spoken gentleman. We always enjoyed his stories and his tales.
