VandeKieft, William Jr. & Nancy Ann
Of Jackson, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at their cottage in Fremont, MI. Bill was the son of William and Dorothy (Post) VandeKieft born Aug 23, 1946 in Grand Rapids, MI. Nancy was the daughter of Russell and Betty (Houwerzyl) Karel born July 9, 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI. They are survived by two children, Bradley (Dorothy) VandeKieft, and Paula (Bob) Louagie, five grandchildren, Brendan, Brett and Bryce VandeKieft, Danielle and Dominick Louagie. They are also survived by Nancy's mother, Betty Karel, Bill's sister's Joan VandeKieft, Norma (Craig) Darow and family, Nancy's brothers, Tom, Steve, and Doug (Diana) Karel and family. Bill retired from Consumers Energy and was a professor at Spring Arbor University. Nancy worked at Spring Arbor University and Northwest Community Schools. They were very active in the Jackson First Presbyterian Church and the community. They dearly loved spending time with their grandchildren who were the center of their world. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends at their cottage. According their wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of their lives will be held at the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM, Reverend John A. Toth officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Music Fund 743 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49201.
Family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00.
